Snow in the Sharr Mountains, south-eastern Kosovo*. This mountain range is host to numerous alpine and glacial mountain lakes. The region boasts large numbers of white-bark pine and alpine rose. It is the habitat of lynx, bear, chamois, wolf, roe deer, wild boar and other game animals.

A shepherd’s cottage in the highlands of Dragash region, Kosovo*. The area is home to thousands of sheep who return there just before dusk from a day of grazing on the mellow grass of the Sharr Mountains.
