OTHER PROJECTSEuropean Young Journalist Award 2009 The national winners of the 2009 European Young Journalist Award will be making their way to Berlin, Germany for a cultural and historical prize trip from 29 August to 2 September 2009. As Europe is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the iron curtain, symbolised by the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, a visit to Berlin provides the national winners with an opportunity to learn from the past as we celebrate a unified democratic Europe. At the same time, this year marks the 5th anniversary of the accession to the EU of ten countries, mainly from Central and Eastern Europe. The “2009 European Young Journalist Award“ is a project of the European Commission's Directorate General Enlargement, organised in co-operation with the European Youth Press and Café Babel. Visit the official EYJA 2009 website to read more. |
