FESTIVAL FEVER IN SOUTHEAST EUROPE

Welcome to the second newsletter edition of Southeast Europe: People and Culture!

The summer season always gives a reason to celebrate – and people in Southeast Europe are no exception. In our July Newsletter, we would like to give readers a taste of some of the many festivals taking place throughout the region.

You will find the amount and variety of festivals in Southeast Europe impressive. Some of them hold longstanding traditions and are deeply rooted in the region. Others have been established more recently, yet already draw visitors from all over Europe and beyond.

This month we have already published a few of the main festivals taking place – have a look at our “This Month’s New Features”. Also watch out for many more articles being added throughout August, giving some of the main festival highlights from the region.

If you haven’t yet had the chance to personally experience one of the many festivities, we hope that this might inspire you!
